The fourth Bikesports race meeting of the year was held at Silverstone on the international circuit.
Unfortunately Breakell Racing wasn’t competing in this race but we were on hand to help out all day and mechanic for friends and regular Bikesports racers Aaron and Lee Bailey.
The sun was beaming doing and the weather was perfect for racing.
We had a grid of 22 cars, with regular drivers such as Tim Gray, Adrian Reynard, Gary Paterson, Tim Porter, to name a few and some non-regular drives from other championships that had come to join in the fun.
The two main manufacturers of car entered where Radical sports cars and Spire sports cars, a true dual of two great British sports car manufacturers.
Both races were exciting and there was some really close racing.
Breakell Racing rival Tim Gray won both races making Spire Sports cars triumphant on the day.
Other top finishers were Adrian Reynard who came second overall in race 2 (winning class A) in his Radical SR3 and Steven Gore Third in race 1. Second place in race 2 went to well-known auto grass racer Phil Cooper in his Radical PR6 with Third in Race 2 going to Mark Conroy.
It was a fantastic days racing and we look forward to the last two Bikesports race meetings of the year at Snetterton and Donington Park.
